GREG UNDERWOOD RECEIVES THE ENDORSEMENT OF
THE NORFOLK FRATERNAL ORDER OF POLICE: COMMODORE LODGE #3

February 19, 2009

Greg Underwood is pleased to announce today that he has received the endorsement of the Norfolk Fraternal Order of
Police: Commodore Lodge #3 to be the next Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Norfolk.  The special election to
elect Norfolk’s next Commonwealth’s Attorney is scheduled for March 10, 2009.  Lodge
members cited his 16 years of
prosecution experience, including his hard work on several recent murder cases, as the main reasons for their
endorsement.

“I am delighted that the men and women who work to protect our city streets day-in and day-out, recognize the importance
of having an experienced prosecutor serving as the Commonwealth’s Attorney in Norfolk,” Underwood said.

Greg Underwood is a veteran prosecutor with 16 years experience in Norfolk and Virginia Beach.  He is currently a Senior
Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney in the Office of the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney, where he leads a team of 15
people responsible for the prosecution of all felony charges and some misdemeanor charges, which originate in Norfolk
Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.
